A group of local musicians have created “Dear Charleston,” a song and video dedicated to the Emanuel Nine.

Written by Dan Riley and recorded at the Summerville’s Timeless Sounds studio, “Dear Charleston” features Riley on lead vocals and guitar, while a gospel choir lends the track powerful backup vocals.

“This group of volunteers was made up of both friends and strangers from all over the Charleston area,” Riley says. “The communities of Summerville, Lincolnville, Goose Creek, West Ashley and Mount Pleasant were all represented.”
